Attorney Kevin J. Daken has broad experience representing clients in all areas of family and matrimonial law, including divorce, child custody and parental access, post-judgment enforcement and modifications, and pre- and post-nuptial agreements. He has worked exclusively in the area of family and matrimonial law since 2011, and in that time, has handled cases involving wide-ranging issues including the division of substantial and complex assets, the effect of executive compensation structures on alimony and child support, disputed business and real estate valuations, and contentious custodial disputes.
Attorney Daken firmly believes that family and matrimonial attorneys are counselors as much as they are advocates, and that his clients’ matters cannot be simply reduced to “numbers on a page.” He strives to serve his clients with compassion, patience, and pragmatism, and to deliver favorable and fair results using common sense and an attention to detail. Attorney Daken favors a cooperative approach to matters to minimize the emotional toll on his clients and their children, and he employs mediation and collaborative divorce to achieve those ends. When reason fails, however, Attorney Daken will not hesitate to seek a judicial outcome when necessary to protect his clients’ interests.
Before joining Attorney MacNamara, Attorney Daken honed his skills as a partner at a highly-respected Fairfield County family and matrimonial law firm. Prior to beginning his career as a family law attorney, Attorney Daken served as a clerk for the Superior Court of the Judicial District of New Haven at Meriden, where he gained unique insight into the judicial process and exposure to a wide range of civil and family matters.
